Our King & Queen Elvessa's Manitou of de Mew
We are very proud to introduce Elvessa's Manitou of de Mew.
Manitou is a lovely champagne mink. He is very, very loving and mellow. Here he is in his favorite sleeping place!!!
Manitou, The Great Spirit, is an Algonquin term, often erroneously applied as spirit monster. Manitou combines the meanings of Spirit, mystery, magic, and generally is applied to the manifestation of some form of power that is not readily understood or coming from elsewhere.
The sire of Manitou is the lovely Grand Champion platinum mink Toytown's Lash LaRue of Elvessa. "Lash" was bred by Sheryl Zink and is lovingly owned by Laurie Schiff.
"Lash" was the 17th Best International Cat of the Year Tonkinese {2000}, Tonkinese Kitten of the Year {1999} and is a CFA Grand Champion as well as a TICA Supreme Grand Champion. Congradulations to both Sheryl and Laurie on this magnificent boy.
Manitou's dam is the lovely CH Elvessa Betty Rubble. Betty is a Seal (Natural) Mink Tonkinese and the dam of many beautiful kittens bred by Laurie!
"Betty" is a CFA Champion.

Narmada's Pukkeenegak of de Mew
We are also very proud to introduce our Queen, Narmada's Pukkeenegak (Pooky) of de Mew.
Pukkeenegak is a beautiful platinum mink.
Pooky is very inquisitive and very in-tune with Manitou.....
The name Pukkeenegak comes from the Goddess of Childbirth. We hope our little Pooky creates many beautiful babies!!
Pooky comes to us from Laura Schiff and Christine Houde
Pooky's sire is TICA Grand Champion Elvessa's Festus of Narmada.
"Festus" is a Lilac Sepia Tonkinese (called Platinum Solid in CFA).
Pooky's dam is Toytown Sparkle Plenty of Narmada.
